The 5G Architecture White Paper discusses the key business and technical requirements that drive the evolution of 5G networks and introduces the key aspects of the new overall 5G architecture that will provide a framework to integrate all broadband connectivity concepts, using an innovative mix of new with existing technologies, to meet the demanding requirements of new 5G applications.
The White Paper also identifies the standards bodies where the 5G architecture is expected to have the greatest impact. A standardisation road map for the architectural innovations presented in this
white paper will be published by the 5GPPP Pre-standard Working Group later this year. This Road Map will make an excellent complement to the 5G-ENSURE Roadmap on 5G Security Standardisation - 1st draft (July 2016). 5G-ENSURE partner, Mats Naslund, Ericsson, contributed to the 5G-PPP White Paper on behalf of the project.
